A Wedding

I attended the wedding of an extended family member today.

It was what commentators describe as a thoroughly classical wedding with the traditional bridal gown, the church, the rings, the tiered cake, the breakfast, the speeches and of course, one now assumes, a pre-nup!

As a divorce blogger it must be fun for you to attend a wedding! Best of luck to the couple. Do you know if the wedding officiants required pre marital counseling beforehand?

It's refreshing to read about a wedding from the perspective of a divorce lawyer. It's easy to get caught up looking at all the failed marriages, when there are so many that work out happily. I think couples that go through some sort of pre-marital counseling are better prepared for the work that marriage is.
